Leicester Square Goes (RED) To Support The Fight Against Aids

RED cocktail 2014Since 17th November, W London – Leicester Square has joined an exciting multi-city, month-long initiative that sees W Hotels across Europe team up with (RED), the organisation founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver to engage businesses and people in the fight against AIDS. W London will host a series of fabulous fundraising initiatives to help raise awareness and money to support the work of the Global Fund to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.

From specially crafted glittering (RED) cocktails to exclusive film screenings, there will be various ways for hotel guests and Londoners to make a valuable contribution to the cause. Each of the unique events is designed to raise awareness and money to finance programmes that provide prevention, treatment, counselling and HIV testing in Africa and support the goal of delivering an AIDS-free generation.

Ways to get involved and experience the (RED) fundraising at W London:

– The Glitte(RED) Cocktail at W London: Served from 17th December in the W Lounge
– W Does Brunch: Available on Sundays from 23rd November with a £1.50 donation going to (RED)
– W Talent pin goes (RED): Available for a £5 donation at W London

As part of the (RED) take-over, the W London mixologists will be serving up the delicious Glitte(RED) cocktail, a colourful mix of Belvedere (RED) vodka, Aperol, amaretto, raspberry purée, vanilla syrup, apple and lemon juice, finished with a vibrant explosion of popping candy. The fabulous cocktail has been available from 17th November in the W Lounge and will cost £12.80 with 100 per cent of the proceeds going directly to (RED).

W London will also be giving its renowned weekly Brunch experience the (RED) treatment, with £1.50 from every Bottomless Bloody Mary sold being given to (RED).

And for the first time ever, W Hotels signature talent pins will have a limited edition, bold new look as they go red for one month only and will be available for just £5 at the hotel, with all proceeds going to the Global Fund, the recipient of all (RED) fundraising.
