Eccles CakeTail Recipe

Recently I’ve been asked to create a cocktail in collaboration with the Eccles Food Festival. My brief was to replicate the taste of the world-famous Eccles cakes, and after a couple of ideas, I’ve come up with this –

Eccles CakeTail – created by Dave Marsland, Drinks Enthusiast

Glass –

Jam Jar

Ingredients –

60 ml El Dorado 5yr rum
30 ml cold water
25 ml sugar syrup
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Fentimans Ginger Beer

Method –

Shake all ingredients in a shaker with ice (minus the ginger beer). Fine strain into an ice filled jam jar and top with Fentimans Ginger Beer. Serve with an Eccles Cake.
