Keep Away The Chills This Winter With A Duo Of Barefoot Wine’s Winter Warmers


When the weather outside is frightful, why not over-indulge in a delicious Barefoot Wine Winter Warming Cocktail? Sure to keep away Jack Frost in the winter months, this duo of dark cocktails are perfect for sipping on a night in, or to enjoy during a festive celebration with family and friends.

Bursting with the berry flavours of Barefoot Wine, choose from Barefoot’s warming Mull-licious Red Wine, packed with spices and Barefoot’s juicy Cabernet Sauvignon, or delight in the rich chocolatey taste of Barefoot Wine’s Cocoa Cocktail. Both cocktails are brrr-illantly satisfying, so take a sip and snuggle further down into that rug.

Barefoot’s Mull-licious Red Wine:

1/2 bottle of Barefoot Cabernet Sauvignon
1 star anise
1 orange sliced into wedges spiked with cloves
3 tbsp. clear honey
1 cinnamon stick, 30g brown sugar
Freshly grated nutmeg and cherry to garnish

Place all of the ingredients into a saucepan and simmer gently for 10 minutes, without boiling. Strain into heatproof glasses or mugs and finish with a little freshly grated nutmeg.

Barefoot Wine’s Cocoa Cocktail:

2 parts Barefoot Merlot
3/4 part Crème de Cacao Liqueur
1/4 part Vanilla Liqueur
2 dashes Classic Bitters (optional)

Combine liquids in mixing glass with ice and shake together. Strain into chilled cocktail glass and garnish with grated chocolate
