Osborne is one of the oldest and most prestigious wine and spirit producers in Spain. Founded in 1772 by Thomas Osborne Mann to supply sherry to the UK, it remains 100% family owned, and is now run by the seventh generation.
In the mid-20th century, they also became a leading brandy producer and, with the acquisition of Domecq, they gained another international leader, this time for Gran Reserva Brandy de Jerez. This D.O. brandy was the first brandy produced in the great sherry region and is recognised as one of the great brandies of the world. Aged in a solera which began in 1889, Carlos I brandy has an average age of 12 years.
