Drambuie Delivers The Punchline At London Cocktail Week


Unravelling the myths behind its secret elixir, Drambuie, is bringing a sensational taste-expanding programme to this year’s London Cocktail Week (6-12 October).
Teaming up with London’s most luxurious hotel, The London EDITION, Drambuie will serve up a delicious array of palate-pleasing events in the hotel’s modern interpretation of a 19th-Century private club, the Punch Room.

The decadent, fumed oak-panelled décor of EDITION Punch Room will play host to two captivating talks: The Secret of the Elixir and the Extraordinary Punch Parlour for London Cocktail Week, hosted by Drambuie brand ambassador Herman van Broekhuizen. Across the week discerning drinkers can also sip and savour the Sweet Dreams Are Made of This cocktail, devised exclusively by the marvellous minds from the Lobby Bar. The cocktail brings an extra dimension to Drambuie’s extraordinary blend of the finest aged Scotch whisky, spices and heather honey with a homemade Edition bitters twist. Definitely a treat for the discerning drinker.

Especially for the cocktail enthusiast, The Secret of the Elixir is an occasion not to be missed. Herman van Broekhuizen will exclusively reveal the myths & truths behind the creation of Drambuie, taking the audience on a surreal journey through the craft and ingredients used to blend this 260-year-old Scottish liqueur. Tuesday 7th October, 6-7pm (Tickets £6 and include a complimentary Drambuie cocktail).

Love cocktails, but have no idea how to make them? Drambuie also presents the Extraordinary Punch Parlour, a surreal mixology session that is sure to equip you with the techniques needed to master the perfect punch. Herman will demonstrate the tricks you need to make your Drambuie concoctions truly extraordinary. Thursday 9th October, 3:45-4:30pm (Tickets £6 and include a complimentary cocktail).

Drambuie’s Extraordinary Cart, a surreal mobile punch bar, designed in a style inspired by the optical illusion of Duchamp’s spiral and with Drambuie’s striking black and white zig-zag motif will be popping up in Seven Dials [Outside Urban Outfitters on Earlham Street]. Visit Drambuie’s Extraordinary Cart on Wednesday 8th [4-8pm] or Friday 10th [4-8pm] to sample Drambuie’s Hot Apple Toddy, the delicious winter cocktail that will keep you warm to the core.

Hendrick’s Presents The World’s First Pedal-Powered Shaker For London Cocktail Week


To celebrate the highlight of the cocktail calendar, London Cocktail Week (6-12th October), Hendrick’s Gin are shaking things up with The Boneshaker – the world’s first pedal-powered cocktail shaker. This curious contraption will park up at Brooks B1886 in Seven Dials, as an invitation to discerning drinkers across the capital to lubricate the cogs of conversation at the Hendrick’s Boneshaker Cocktail Bar.

Combining the thrill of velocipedal travel with the joys of post-ride refreshment, The Boneshaker uses the rotating motion of the cycle wheels to simultaneously shake six most marvelously Hendrick’s libations. On display in the Hendrick’s Boneshaker Cocktail Bar,

In addition, to celebrate the end of the working day Hendrick’s Presents The No Rush Hour Society. As the clock strikes six, The Boneshaker will circumnavigate the cobbled streets of Seven Dials, in the process mixing an array of palate pleasing cocktails, which, on its return to Brooks B1866, will be used to toast the arrival of The Cocktail Hour. Spaces to this unusual occurrence are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis from 6-7pm on Thursday 9th through to Sunday 12th October.
