A new collaboration is in place between Drinks Enthusiast and Mullen Bartending, as they bring to Manchester a monthly evening of tutored tastings within new Manchester City Centre speakeasy The Fitzgerald.
Held every first Tuesday of the month over the next five months, Dave Marsland, aka Drinks Enthusiast, will be hosting an informal, relaxed chat regarding some of the finer spirits that define the months theme. The team of Mullen Bartending, aka founders Sean McGuirk and Chris Mullen, will be producing an array of cocktails to really show the versatility of each brand.
Consumers will be able to enjoy an evening of Americana on March 4th, as the likes of Sailor Jerry, Distillery 209, Southern Comfort and Buffalo Trace will be available to sample.
A Gentleman’s theme for April as The Balvenie, Wild Turkey and Tullamore Dew will all be present, alongside May and the summer time Gin Garden, with Cheshire based Hunters, Martin Miller’s, Broker’s and King of Soho all set to bring their craft delights.
June will be the month of the Tiki as Tiki Shack makes an appearance, with Cuban rum Ron Cubay, Admiral Vernon’s Old J Spiced and RedLeg on the table, whilst the Italian Masters finish off July with Fernet Branca, Punt e Mes and Disaronno.
Host for each evening Dave Marsland says, “It’s a perfect opportunity for consumers to delve into the delights of the unknown. Although most of the brands are recognisable, they may have never had the chance to experience not only on their own, but also within a great cocktail. This is a great chance to learn a little, enjoy and ultimately encourage the consumer to try something different in the future.
Sean McGuirk mentions “These nights are designed to showcase brands that the general public wouldn’t normally specifically ask for, we always aim to engage and entertain…. great cocktails at a bargain price always help to!
See you at the bar.”
Tickets for each tutored tasting will be available for £15 per person, and can be purchased through Design My Night.
